Hotel Palacio de Villapanes ? Alma Sevilla is located in the historic neighbourhood of Santa Cruz, and a short walk from the bustling city centre. It was originally constructed in the early years of the 18th century by Don Manuel Lopez Pintado, the first Marquis of Torreblanca del Aljarafe. This street not only provides fantastic views of the Cathedral and the Giralda, but was also historically the thoroughfare used by the bustle of carts and carriages that used to enter the city gates of the old roman walls at Santa Catalina during the corn market. It has recently been refurbished, and today art, styling and culture, as good as a decor tending towards the minimalist, enable visitor to discover and enjoy a different Seville. It is a jewel that shines brilliantly, taking us back to the Mudejar period, uniquely important to the city?s history
