The motel is a three star rating and is in the immediate Central Business District, with K-Mart and Coles grocery store just across the road. The Best Western Elkira Resort Motel is true hospitality in the Outback. The Post Office, banks and shopping mall are all a five minute walk and the furthest cafe 10 minutes away, being next to the Alice Springs Cinemas, where guests are invited in a two for one scheme. The first impression is the mahogany beams and chandeliers, maroon leather couches and leather trimmed reception desk; a warm well met to all visitor. The aura is relaxed with plants and established green gardens all about; a lovely contrast to the red desert of Central Australia
