Sebasti�o around 1569. It stands on the castle hill on the site of what was once most likely the Jewish quarter. As a result, the original construction plans had to be changed so it could include the ruins in the new building, where they are now partially visible from the restaurant.
The Gra�a Convent in Tavira was once the Convent of the Cloistered Augustinian Nuns, which was founded by King D. Its most noteworthy features are the 16th and 17th century Renaissance Cloister and both Baroque style fa�ade facing the main square and the central staircassse. Archeologic traces of Islamic origin were discovered during the restoration work
