It owes its name to the glorious Polish astronomer Nicolas Copernicus- who was one of the visitor of the house. Copernicus Hotel is located on the citys oldest street called Kanonicza. Could it have been here that he developed his revolutionary theory that the Earth rotates around the Sun rather than the opposite. For centuries- this building belonged to the cathedral chapel and hosted the intellectual and financial elite of Krakow.
