    Terror House Museum

    Opened on February 24th, 2002 the House of Terror Museum - the only one of its kind - is a monument to the memory of those held captive, tortured and killed here. The Museum intends to make people understand that sacrifice for freedom was not in vain.

    Matthias Church

    Officially named the Church of Our Lady, this famous landmark in Budapest's Castle District is better known as Matthias Church after the much-loved 15th-century Renaissance king who contributed the towers and was married here.

    Gellert Thermal Bath built between 1912 and 1918 in the (Secession) Art Nouveau style. The Gellert Baths complex includes thermal baths, which are small pools containing water from Gellert hill's mineral hot springs.

    Margaret Island is a 2.5 km (1.4 miles) long island, 500 meters (550 yards) wide, in the middle of the Danube in central Budapest. The island is mostly covered by landscape parks, and is a popular recreational area.Ideal place for jogging andbiking.

    Buda Castle

    Buda Castle the historical castle complex of the Hungarian kings in Budapest, was built on the southern tip of Castle Hill. Buda Castle is part of the Budapest World Heritage. This place is the home of National Gallery and also Budapest History Musem.

    Chain Bridge

    The first connection between Pest and Buda was made by the Chain Bridge or Szechenyi lanchid, named after count Szechenyi, who took the initiative to build the bridge. The 375 meter (1230ft) long and 16 meter wide bridge, was opened on November 20, 1849.

    House of Parliament

    The Parliament was built between 1885 and 1902, The building has a length of 268 meters and is 118 meters wide. Its dome 69 meters high. The main style of the building is neo-gothic with renaissance influences, but the base ground plan is Baroque.

    Vaci Street

    First part of this wonderful pedestrian - only street between Vorosmarty square and the Central Market Hall is lively and popular with international brands and dozens of cafes but second part has more charm and authenticity with smaller shops.

    Heroes' square

    Heroes Square is situated at the entrance of City Park stands in honor and memory of the great leaders in Hungarys history. Centerpiece of the square is the Millennium Monument, built in 1896 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the Magyar conquest.

    Dohany Street Synagogue, built in 1859, is the largest synagogue in Europe and the second largest in the world. It is like a basilica and includes some Byzantine and Moorish elements. The interior is vast and ornate, with two balconies and an organ.

    National Jewish Museum

    National Jewish Museum and Archives (Nemzeti Zsido Muzeum es Leveltar) is part of the Dohany Synagogue . Located next to the birthplace of Zionism founder Theodor Herzl. Museum has an impressive visual overview of the long history of Jews in Hungary.
