LALBAGH PALACE :- Modeled on the palace of Versailles, it is the grandest monument of the Holkar Dynasty spread over 71 acres, it once contained the finest rose gardens in the country. Tel : 2473264. It is located near Moti Tabela. KANCH MANDIR (GLASS TEMPLE) The Kanch Mandir, which is a Jain temple is a marvel in glass. This temple as built by Sir Seth Hukumchand in the early 20th century. The walls, ceiling, floor and pillars are inlaid with glass. There is a special glass chamber that houses 3 statues of Jain Tirthankar Mahavira, which multiply to create 21 symmetrical figures of Jain Tirthankaras. It is located near Satha Bazar. INDORE MUSEUM The Indore Museum houses the finest collection of Parmar sculptures from Hinglagarh. Parmar style originated here, and is characterized by proportioned figures of carefully and ornately depicted in stone. The museum is also known for its collection of coins, arms and armours. The museum boasts of housing a canon, with which the Mughal emperor Babar conquered Hindustan. It is located in Krishnapura, on the banks of the Khan river. BADA GANPATI Better known for its size than antiquity, this temple houses perhaps the largest Ganesh idol in the world, measuring 25 feet from crown to foot. Created as a result of a dream to an Avantika. It is on M G Road, Bada Ganpati square.
