Waka style and comfort in an environmentally aware eco-friendly resort. A natural setting cafe and a natural bathing enclosure fringe the wide lough. In the dry season - Bali winter - the flora is quite dry and the area is not green or lush but very stark and wild and quite strongly enchanting and primal (April October). The style is in the same as other the Waka Resort, you are surrounded by the textures and colours of nature; dressed slate; tiles; smooth unpainted wood; soft homespun fabrics; intricately worked copper; fragrant alang-alang grass roofing; natural bamboo; rough cut stone; flowers and foliage. Twelve bungalows and two villas uniquely designed to exist in harmony with the landscape.
Waka Shorea nestles on a protective peninsula, a fifteen-minute boat ride from the main public area. A comprehensive range of activities tailored to the area, snorkeling, scuba diving including course for beginners, nature treks seeking native deer and the silver or black leaf monkey and Tranquil picnic on secluded deserted plage. In the Summer months however it rains occasionally and the area is lush and very sub-tropical (November March)
